Across the Mottola property portfolio, solar energy systems have been introduced as part of a broader commitment to reducing environmental impact while strengthening energy resilience across key commercial properties in South Africa.
These installations generate renewable electricity that supports the daily operations of the buildings, helping to reduce reliance on conventional power sources while improving energy stability.
Solar installations are currently operational at several properties including Travel House in Rosebank, Chiappini Square in Cape Town, and the Hylton Ross depots in Pomona and Salt River.
At certain sites, solar generation is integrated with battery storage systems to support energy stability during supply interruptions. At others, the solar power feeds directly into the property’s electricity supply alongside municipal energy.
Together these systems contribute meaningful renewable capacity across the portfolio while supporting more responsible and efficient property operations.
To expand renewable energy generation across the Mottola property portfolio, reducing reliance on traditional electricity sources while improving operational resilience and lowering the environmental footprint of the buildings.
Solar energy systems across the portfolio currently generate over 560 kW of installed solar capacity across multiple commercial properties in South Africa.
These installations support daily building operations with renewable energy, contributing to reduced dependence on grid electricity while strengthening the resilience and sustainability of the properties.
