R.A.D is an organisation dedicated to outreach work in underserved communities and the sterilisation of domestic animals in Botrivier and Grabouw, within the Theewaterskloof Municipality of the Western Cape. To date, R.A.D has successfully sterilised more than 5,000 animals through monthly spay days and veterinary procedures, while also providing subsidised medical care for those in need, including surgeries for fractures and amputations, eye operations, blood transfusions, and general health treatments. The team’s ongoing goal is to maintain a consistent presence within these communities, conducting follow-ups, coordinating sterilisation lists, sharing essential animal care education, and ensuring the ongoing wellbeing of local pets.
To reduce animal suffering and overpopulation through consistent community outreach, sterilisation programs, and accessible veterinary care in underserved areas of Botrivier and Grabouw.
With a donation of USD$10,000 each year to support R.A.D’s food, staffing, and operational costs, the contribution has enabled over 5,000 animal sterilisations through ongoing outreach and veterinary programs in Botrivier and Grabouw.
