Xigera partners with a local hydroponic farm on the Boro River to champion sustainable food production, grown right on our doorstep. Hydroponics is an incredibly sustainable method of farming — using less land and water, and eliminating the need for soil treatment or fertilisers. Together, we’re cultivating a cleaner, greener way to nourish our guests and our community.
Impact goal
Pioneering a hydroponic system in this region, our local farmer is ensuring guests have access to the freshest, highest quality produce, year-round.
Achieved to date
To date, this partnership has supplied the lodge with a consistent source of fresh, locally grown produce while reducing food miles, supporting local employment, and promoting a more sustainable, self-sufficient food system.
