BAWA Bali is a program that ToGa has proudly supported for over twenty years.
Dedicated to improving animal welfare across Bali, BAWA’s programs address the island’s challenges from every angle — providing direct care to relieve suffering, rescuing animals in need, and working within communities to inspire long-term change in attitudes and behaviour toward animals.
The most recent donation supported the aquisition of a 1-hectare (2.5-acre) property surrounded by hills, open land, and an ancient rock temple, with beautiful ocean views ideal for volunteer huts and walking trails. This expansion has allowed the shelter to care for more animals, provide education to local communities on responsible animal care, and create meaningful opportunities for voluntourism to help sustain the centre’s ongoing work.
Creating a safe haven where more animals can heal, communities can learn, and compassionate action can thrive — building a kinder, more sustainable future for Bali’s animals.
Through an donation of USD$12,000 and an additional USD$25,000 contribution for land acquisition, BAWA Bali’s positve impact continues to expand, supporting over 22,000 emergency responses; 250,000 meals; 6,000 animal sterilisations; 85,000 children educated and 9,000 rabies vaccinations each year.
